Etiquette

Local Rules

The following rules of golf and golf etiquette are listed as a reminder that golf is a gentleman's game and should be played as such. All members and guests will be expected to cooperate by the rules listed below. This will assist us in assuring all players the highest quality experience while enjoying our golf course. The R&A Golf Association shall govern play at all times except as modified by local rules.

1. Operations: The Golf Course is open every day from 7:30 AM to 20:00 PM in Summer. The driving range and putting green are open until from 07h30AM to 8:00 PM. *Opening and closing times for the course and the range are subject to weather conditions and at the discretion of management.

2. Registration: All players must register in the Pro Shop before beginning play. Without exception, starting point for all play is number one tee, unless permission to commence elsewhere has been obtained from the Golf Shop or Starter. However, continuing groups from number one tee have priority of play.

3. Driving Range: The Driving Range is for use of members, guests, and the general public. Personal practice balls are not allowed. Use of range balls may be purchased from the Pro Shop if not playing a round of golf, as they are included in green fee. The range balls are located on the range set up in pyramids. Range balls are not to be picked up or removed from the driving range. Anyone found using range balls on the course will be asked to leave immediately and members will face disciplinary action. The use of the academy driving range is for golf lessons only. The short game area can be used by members and guests but permission must be obtained from the pro shop first to comply with the lesson schedules.

4. There shall be a maximum of four players per tee time and each player must play with his/her own golf bag and golf clubs.

5. Players are allowed to use individually owned pull carts, but please remember to keep them off the greens.

6. Electric golf cars are not to be used by more than two passengers. Only two golf bags are permitted on a golf car at any one time. For insurance purposes, a current driver's license must be presented at the Pro Shop and an indemnity form filled out before an electric golf car will be rented out.

7. Users of electric golf cars are expected to follow private paths and adhere to directional signs on the course. Electric golf cars are not to be driven within 15 metres of the greens or the aprons and shoulders attendant thereto unless on the cart paths. Cars shall not be driven within 10 metres of tees or bunkers except where the paths are within that distance.

8. All players must observe the directions of the Starter and/or Marshall when they are on duty.

9. Tournament activity will control starting times on number one and number ten tee. Tournament play and scheduled activities shall take precedence over regular play. 10. Proper golf attire must be worn on the golf course, driving range, and practice green at all times (no tee shirts, tank tops, cut-off jeans, etc.) Please see Dress Code Board.

11. The Golf Professional and Course Superintendent are authorized to determine when the golf course is unfit for golf play or use of golf cars due to weather conditions or course maintenance program. 90 degree rule may apply.

12. Management reserves the right to request any player to leave the course at any time. Observe GOLF ETIQUETTE at All Times.

Observe Golf Etiquette at ALL TIMES

1. No one should move, talk, or stand close to or directly behind the ball or the hole when the player is addressing the ball or making a stroke.
2. No player should play until the players in front of them are out of range.
3. All players should: Repair their Ball Marks, Rake Bunkers, Replace Divots.
4. SLOW PLAY. It is everyone's responsibility to eliminate Slow Play.
Your position on the golf course must be maintained except when allowing others to play through or per instructions from the Starter, Marshall, or Golf Shop. 5. When the play of a hole has been completed, players should immediately leave the putting green.
Use discretion in inviting a guest to play golf, being sure they understand and will abide by the rules of golf etiquette. Please remember that a breach of etiquette by your guest reflects on you.
As a member of the club, it is your duty to fully acquaint the members of your family and guests with the rules of the game, etiquette and dress code. Remember that loud talking, shouting, etc. on the golf course may disturb others.
